FOTD - Cleopatra Inspired Look

By 1/21/2013 , , , , , , , , , , ,

I have a huge fascination with Egyptian History, I'm always watching everything I happen to find about that period of time and region. This month Makeup Geek decided to do a Monthly Challenge for Influential Women of History, so of course I opted to do Cleopatra.

It's been forever since I've posted a look and I apologize for the lack of them, I'm really happy with how this turned out (6 hours to do lol).

Anyway onto the look!

  1. WOW !!!!!!! absolutely love the venus sign you incorporated into it.
and the shading on the lids is amazing. i wonder if there's a way to make the white-blue triangles 'wearable' on hooded lids.

    1. Thank you so much!! :)

Pretty sure the white-blue triangles could be wearable, I'd definitely wear something that dramatic out hehe.

  3. Now that's a FOTD! Awesome work, I love the detail and egyptian colours. The lips really make it strong and come together and the rhinestones add a beautiful bejewelled effect. So very Cleopatra.

Yeah I wasn't sure who I was going to do at first either so I put it off till yesterday, but then the idea to do a look based off that portrait hit me. Plus I'm always watching something about Egyptian history or reading about it.

It's took me about 6 hours to finish it, I kind of didn't plan it out ahead of time on how I wanted it and just figured it out as I went.
