I bought this

This post is on the Hare Polish nail polish in Rococo Grandeur, Why so Igneous?, Hooky at the Hamlet, What I Wore to the Revolution, Star Tropics, and Dog Day Dream. I first purchased while back after seeing Christine of www.temptalia.com post swatches of the brand.

Anyway onto the photos!

What I Wore to the Revolution is actually a clear base polish, I placed it over a pearl white polish since I was swatching on a clear nail wheel.

I was really happy with all the polishes that I picked up and I definitely recommend Hare Polish to anyone who loves unique sparkling polishes. Some of these shades may currently be in stock on their Etsy shop, so go check there if you're wanting to get some of these!

I Bought This

Now as most of you know I'm not a huge blogger on nail polish, that being said I don't tend to purchase polishes that often. My main reason for not wearing polish that often is that I use my hands a lot at my daily job, house cleaning, taking care of animals, and video gaming (among other things).

Of course with the usage of my hands a lot I tend to only have the polish survive a couple days if even, this is why I tend to stay away from even bothering painting my nails. A few weeks back (or longer) Temptalia posted a review on an Etsy seller shop called Hare Polish, I was floored by how gorgeous and unique these polishes were and had to check them out!

Hare Polish releases collections and can get sold out pretty fast, so you may want to keep an eye on their blog site here for release updates on when they will be stocking their store. I will have a review and posts up in the next couple of weeks (I'd say this week but I'm already behind on a bunch of other posts, that being said I'll be back to normal posting now that my medical issues are somewhat better).

This month Milani Cosmetics is releasing a Limited Edition Nail Laquer Collection called Retro Glam. The collection consist of 5 solid color polishes as well as a topcoat sprinkle effect polish that you can use alone or on top of the solid polishes, each polish is sold separately.

Anyway onto the photos!

L to R: 871 Strawberry Shake, 872 Raspberry Delight, 873 Creamy Pistachio, 874 Mint Chip, 875 Almond Bliss (Followed by Sprinkles on top of each)

My Rating:  10 out of 10 feathers

Cost:  $4.49 for Base Solid Colors and $4.99 for Sprinkles Topcoat

Availability:  CVS, Meijer's, and www.milanicosmetics.com (Limited Edition)

Formula:  These polishes are free of DBP, Toluene, and Formaldehyde. All the Base polishes are very pigmented and I had no trouble getting a solid layer with the first coat if done right. I absolutely love the formula for the Sprinkles topcoat as it leaves an amazing design and was easy to work with!

The Packaging:  Standard polish packaging.

My Final Thoughts:  I love EVERYTHING about this collection, I love the colors they picked to release for the bases but the real gem of this collection is the Sprinkles topcoat! In my opinion it's a MUST HAVE, and if you love the look of it I'd suggest buying some backup(s) before it's sold out!

Would I purchase these?  I'd definitely purchase this whole collection again (I'm actually considering buying a few backups of the Sprinkles Topcoat as I love, love, love the design it leaves!).

This month Milani Cosmetics is releasing a Limited Edition Nail Laquer Collection called Fantastical Plumage. The collection consist of 5 solid color polishes as well as a topcoat sprinkle effect polish that you can use alone or ontop of the solid polishes, each polish is sold separately.

Anyway onto the photos!

L to R: 866 Scarlet Ibis, 867 Canary, 868 Peacock, 869 Blue Jay, 870 Purple Martin (Followed by Carnival on top of each)

My Rating:  8 out of 10 feathers

Cost:  $4.49 for Base Solid Colors and $4.99 for Carnival Topcoat

Availability:  CVS, Meijer's, and www.milanicosmetics.com (Limited Edition)

Formula:  These polishes are free of DBP, Toluene, and Formaldehyde. All the Base polishes are very pigmented and I had no trouble getting a solid layer with the first coat if done right. Carnival was a little bit more difficult to work with as I would get more black sprinkles and no white so I had to actually try and get single white specks out separately (this is what dropped the rating).

The Packaging:  Standard polish packaging.

My Final Thoughts:  I really love the color ranges in this collection, all of them are really pretty shades and I will definitely wear them again. The down fall of this collection was Carnival as it was difficult to get any of the white specks out (you may be able to place some of the topcoat on something then  use a nail stick and place them separately on the nail).

Would I purchase these?  I'd definitely purchase the solid polishes as for the Carnival color it's nice if you can get a good coat but is again a little difficult to work with. Despite the one downfall I will still say these are crow approved simply for the pigmentation.

Milani Cosmetics is going to be releasing a new nail polish collection this August, the Collection consist of 6 polishes and will be Limited Edition. These will be available at CVS, Meijer's, and www.milanicosmetics.com

The unique thing about this collection is one of the polishes gives a sprinkle effect over the other base colors (I have tried it out thicker and that makes it look like splatters which is cool!). I will have a review and swatches up in the next few days so you guys can see how amazing this collection is!

On Saturday after the husband and I stopped into my local Walgreen's, I was mainly looking for some new stuff in terms of makeup. I happened to come across this display with these magnetic polishes, I immediately set in mind to ask the lady working in that area how much they were but expected they might be around $10+.

So I tracked her down and asked, the answer she gave me was very surprising, "$4 each and once those are sold out I don't think we'll have them in stock anymore" she replied. I was pretty excited but not sure about the quality so I held back and only purchases two. They had two pattern designs that I noticed but may have had more, I will have to check again when I go back.

This was just a quick messy swatching of them, I will have better ones up soon and a review.

I recently received the Milani Jewel FX Nail Polishes, I was excited when I saw them as I love everything sparkly and shiny! These 5 colors are part of the new colors released for 2012.

Pros:  You can use one coat or two to add a little or a lot of extra sparkle. DBP, Toluene & Formaldehyde Free, this is a plus for me because I try to stay away from them. The formula is nice and I had no issues applying any of them. The price is nice considering the fact it's possible dupes for the high end brands that cost twice as much.

Cons: I didn't find any cons with these nail polishes, all performed well and the effect is gorgeous.

I picked up 3 of the OPI Muppets nail polishes, I wanted to get more but when I went back to the store they were sold out. I'm pretty sure that is because they make wonderful stocking stuffers, or just presents in general! I bought each for $8.49 at my local super grocery store, when I looked at Ulta they were selling them for $12.50. The only difference I could notice was a little white striping on the bottles, I thought maybe it was just an issue with that batch but I noticed some other polishes also had the same issue (I'm guessing that store is where all the "mutant" bottles go and maybe that's the drop in price?).

Anyway onto the photos!

I may try to locate some of the others, not sure yet.
