Some Hauling, and I won a Giveaway!

So today I ran to two Walgreen's because I kept seeing people posting on the Wet N Wild 2011 Holiday palettes... I also read about an 8 pan matte palette that came out. So I told the husband "we're hunting for makeup today, I don't care what you say" ok... well not really but that is how it sounded in my head.

Anyway here's what I picked up, the husband surprised me and told me I could purchase the remaining palettes (3 more of each) but I declined as we're already keeping tight reins on the funds. Although it was tempting, and it would have given you guys more of them for giveaways! Maybe I'll have to go back and get the rest lol.

I ended up picking up 2 of each palette so I shall be having some giveaways with them during the next few months. :)

I also had the good fortune of winning a Giveaway hosted by Sahily of  Pretty in Pigment! I was pretty excited too since it had a bunch of stuff I'd wanted to try but never bought because I was saving for other stuff.  If you get a chance check out her blog, she has some great looks!

She wrapped everything up neatly too and I can't wait to try them out, keep an eye out for reviews!

Anyway that is all for now and I still have reviews coming on Born Pretty, Dark Heart Designs, Evil Shades,  Glamour Doll Eyes, Dinair, and more! (moving is really tiring and trying to find everything again is a task for sure!!)

Glamour Doll Eyes Circus Collection - Swatches

This took a while, my camera was acting up and I'm still not sure I even came close to capturing the amount of sparkling pretties I saw in person. Anyway I will have an actual review coming up tomorrow, for now onto the swatches!

Bearded Lady - a medium to dark brown inspired by the luscious beards of the women of the sideshow. The silver shimmers throughout add a hint of femininity.

Big Top - mimicking canvas tents, this medium toned yellow with red shimmer ties together the traditional colors of the circus all in one.

Cotton Candy - who says cotton candy has to be pink? This light to medium blue with pink shimmers brings forth the playfulness of the spun sugar treat. This color is NOT vegan.

Electric Chair - FLASH! This satiny/velvety white, somewhat metallic looking shadow is inspired by the shock of the electrical current. JOLT!

Fiji Mermaid - this greenish blue tells the story of a commonly used sideshow act. The Fiji Mermaid is alive and real with green shimmer undertones, reminiscent of scales.

Fire Eater - inspired by the heat and the excitement of the fire eaters act this eye light uses red, yellow and orange colors to bring the fire-y spark.

Oddity is a very unique blend of shimmer and matte. This is a lime green but almost looks duochrome as well!

Sword Swallower - down the hatch it goes! This semi metallic silver with silver sparkles embodies the shine and sharpness of the swords used in this traditional act.

I can say that Cotton Candy is WAY gorgeous in person compared to pictures, it looks like there is pink/purple sparkles in it that don't show up well in the picture. Bearded Lady also has some shifts of sparkles (it looks like green or blues in it) that unfortunately didn't show up well either. :(

Tomorrow I will try to post some pictures without the flash to try and get a better idea of the sparkles.

Definitely worth picking up this set when it releases, beautiful shadows with cute packaging, and candy=win.

I will have more information in my actual review along with the primer review because I'm using it alot now days (from the original sample jar I bought).

Glamour Doll Eyes Circus Collection - First Look

So a while back I entered into a giveaway for Glamour Doll Eyes, the prize was a full size Control Freak Primer and the entire Circus Collection. I was pretty excited to find out I won it as it's one less thing for my husband to worry about me wanting to buy lol. Currently these are not available on the site, but as soon as they are I'll probably post something on it.

Anyway here is a first look at it and I will have swatches of it and a review tomorrow hopefully. (I got home late tonight so unfortunately no other post).

The detailing of the collection packaging is so neat! I love the pictures and the fact they threw in a package of Cotton Candy Pop Rocks!!! This collection is a collaboration done with Myeyeshadowisodd so of course the pictures have her in them and I think they are really cute and fitting for the theme!

I really cannot wait to swatch them tomorrow, I'd do it tonight if I didn't have to work early and be up by 7am... I am far from being a morning person!

Dr. Jules Nabets Zen Attitude Cream - Review

A few weeks ago I was sent this product to test out, I have really dry skin and it tends to flake often if I don't properly moisturize it. This cream is supposed to help during times of stress or just in general according to the description.

Description from the site:
Dr. Nabet’s Zen Attitude’s powerful hydrating cream improves the appearance of skin while providing essential protection to produce outstanding results. Soya and Yam (natural Pyto enzymes) blended with Vitamins F and E are delivered by the regulator Eleuthero (Siberian ginseng) to combat the visible signs of stress, environmental pollutants, unwanted toxins and temperature changes. Ideal for those with demanding lifestyles and regular travelers.
Application: Both morning and night, or more regularly during periods of particular stress.
For more information on the Dr. Jules Nabet Skincare products, please visit  And take advantage of the special Friends & Family Discount of 30% by entering the code word ILOVENABET upon checkout. This offer is valid until November 30th.

Price: $69.00 for 100ml.

Pros: The product does make my skin feel hydrated, I did notice a slight reduction in the fine lines on my forehead, nose, and mouth. It doesn't make my skin feel greasy and doesn't take too long to set in. The smell isn't too strong and it fades away fast. I love how smooth it makes my skin feel!!

Cons: The price, I couldn't really find anything else besides that.

Would I order again: I believe I would order it again, the price is kind of high but the way it hydrates my skin is nice and did notice slight differences in the lines (note that it's only been 2 weeks so slight is pretty good). I'm not sure how long it will last since I've only been using it a couple weeks but I will add on more info as the months go by.
