A while back I got the chance to try out a bunch of Milani products, Milani has some really great products for really good prices. I will have swatches and reviews up shortly of the other products I have as I am currently working to get caught up on everything.

Anyway on the photos!

Do you own any of these? What do you think?

A while back when I went shopping at my local Ulta I ended up picking up the Nyx Cosmetics Crimson Amulet Collection. I had seen some bloggers talking about it being released but wasn't really sure if it was something I wanted to get, I of course thought the packaging was cute so I ended up picking it up on a whim.

I will have swatches first in 2 separate parts, then I will have a review along with all the swatches I did shortly after. Currently though you can pick up this set for $9.99 on the Nyx Cosmetics site (I paid $25.00 for mine so this is a steal).

Do you own this palette? What do you think?

Not to long ago the site Beautylish opened up a store, the site started off by sending out invitations (not sure it's still that way) and I just happened to a notice about it within the first couple of days. It of course tempted me because the company it was selling was Sugarpill Cosmetics, ontop of loving that brand they tempted me with a palette I didn't own yet and a color that was originally offered at IMATS only that is Limited Edition.

The deal was if you purchased the new Sugarpill Heartbreaker palette for $34 you got the Limited Edition shadow called @#$%! free, yes it's REALLY called that. I of course couldn't pass it up because I had really wanted both of these, so I put on my cutest saddest puppy eyes for the husband... it didn't take long before he broke down and told me to go order (My husband is great and I love him, not just because he spoils me lol).

My Thoughts:

I placed my order on 08/20/12 and recieved my package on 08/24/12,  everything I ordered was neatly wrapped and packaged well so nothing I got was damaged at all. Inside the package the extra little touches like the yellow tissue paper, silver stickers to seal everything, and cute little card were all a plus and showed care was taken

On top of the fast shipping, and great packaging they included the t-shirt (for my husband.... I'm probably going to steal it though lol), which means their team was paying attention to my tweets as I had mentioned my husband was sweet and let me place an order from them! It's always nice when a company pays attention to the social aspects of things and interacts with their customers!

All in all I would definitely play an order from the Beautylish online store, I also recommend joining the site as there is a ton of great ideas and articles on there along with a great community.

Did you order anything from Beautylish? Are you a member?

A little while ago Elf Cosmetics released a collection of Disney Villainous Villains Makeup Books, these sets are Limited Edition and are a Walgreen's In-store Exclusives. I spent a full day searching around at my local Walgreen's for these sets, each time being told they did not have them and that their shipment trucks had been delayed due to a holiday or something.

I was told to check the following Tuesday as that is when their trucks come in, so I called 3 stores and asked each one if they had them yet. The first two told me they didn't, I ended up trying one more store and that store had the gaul to tell me "NO, we don't carry Elf!" almost to the point of arguing and screaming it into the phone. I of course tried to tell her it was a special Limited Edition and it even had said on the Elf Cosmetics website that her store was a participating store but to no avail.

Anyway luckily the lady at the first store I had gone to the prior time had told me she would kind take my phone number and let me know if they came in (I commend this store clerk for her great customer service). The next day while at work I got a call letting me know that they had gotten them in and to hurry there because they only had 3 of each kind of set, at that point 4:30 pm couldn't come fast enough!

I rushed off to the store right after work and walked searching every part of the cosmetics but didn't see them anywhere. I was kind of sad at this point but then just as I was rounding the corner of the beauty counter I saw them sitting in a box on the floor waiting to be put out. So I of course searched for the lady who was nice enough to let me grab one of each (I was VERY tempted to get an extra of each to giveaway, unfortunately the husband probably would of been a tad upset about me spending over $60 that day lol).

I will have a review up shortly along with swatches!

Do you own any of these? Which is your favorite?
Currently Urban Decay is having their Friends and Family sale, right now till October 13th 2012 you can get 20% off your order!

Every year Glamour Doll Eyes releases Halloween Limited Edition Sets, these are usually limited to 100 each but this year I believe they were limited to 96 each so only 96 people will have them. I of course had to buy both sets, mainly because I haven't had a set that I didn't love.

Today I'll be doing a short review on Set 1, if you're interested in checking out Set 2 then read my previous post here.

Swatched over Control Freak and Foil Me (Except Frankie's Girl).

What the site says:

Price: $16.00

Celebrate Halloween 2012 with some Glamour Doll Eyes Halloween inspired eye shadows. This entire set is VEGAN. In this set, you will receive these 4 shadows:

Corpselike
is a yellowy white with red and orange sheen.

Frankie's Girl is a matte "lime" green.

Gruesome is a a light pink with a satiny white/silver sheen.

Permanent Address is a dark metallicy brown with blue and red shimmer.

Full Jar (No Sifter): 2-2.5 grams of product in a 5 gram jar.

Each shadow will come packaged in a 5gram jar with a black lid. Each lid will have a special edition Halloween 2012 Label with the shadow name on the bottom. Each set of 4 shadows will come packaged in an adorable black and orange star organza bag. Each set is limited to 96 sets so only 96 people will have each specific color.

My Thoughts:

In this set Permanent Address is one of my favorites, it's different and I don't think I have a shadow that would be a dupe for it. All the shadows have nice texture, are very pigmented, and blend nicely.

Out of the two sets I would have to say Set 2 is still my favorite, mainly because I don't have anything that compares to that full set. Still if you don't have anything that compares to Permanent address or Frankie's Girl this set is something worth picking up (for $4 per each shadow it's definitely good price and quality).

Price: $16.00
