Milani Cosmetics - Roses Powder Blush - Review & Swatches - Limited Edition

 Press Sample

Recently Milani Cosmetics released their Roses Powder Blush, these blushes are Limited Edition and were release on their site (which sold out the same day in no time at all) and now they are popping up in stores. I was a little behind on posting due to family issues but I know these are still in stores as I saw them recently at a Meijer's near me. This collection has 4 different shades of blush, I was only to get one to review as they were very short on stock unfortunately.

Anyway onto the photos!

My Rating:  10 out of 10 feathers

Availability :  CVS, Walgreen's, Meijer's, and Fred Meyer Stores (Limited Edition)

Cost:  $6.49 (prices may vary depending on store)

Formula:  The formula is very soft and bendable, really good pigmentation for a blush and doesn't feel powdery at all.

The Packaging:  Standard round compact style packaging

My Final Thoughts:  These blushes remind me a lot of some blushes that MAC Cosmetics had come out with, I think the pigmentation is way better on the Milani brand though and definitely stand up to the MAC one I have. I really love the cute Rose design and I really want to pick up a couple of the other shades (If I can find them).

Would I purchase these?  Yes I would definitely pick these up, I really love the shade I own and the quality is really great.

Birthday Hauling...

I Bought This

My birthday was a couple weeks ago and my husband drove me an hour away to go to our closest MAC Cosmetics counter, I ended up picking up a couple things and figured I would give you a sneak peek look ahead of the review post! I also ordered something online that the Sephora near me and the other one we went to on the road trip did not have any of unfortunately, I wonder what it could be!

Anyway onto the photos!
Left: MAC Minerlize Skinfinish Natural Light  Right: MAC Pressed Pigment Jet Couture

I had went to my Sephora store 20 minutes away and they had told me they were not getting the Sephora Disney Ariel Collection in at all so I was very dissapointed. That same day I called the Sephora store an hour away and they said they had 3 of the Ariel Mirror Compacts in so I was hopeful that it would still be there two days later when my husband took me up there for my birthday.

Unfortunately when we got up there they were all gone so I had to resort to buying it on eBay and I ended up paying almost double the original $20 price, I normally would not do that but considering the Cinderella one is now selling for over $100 I decided to go for it.

Anyway I will have more post up later on, I've been dealing with more migraines and I also caught something akin to the flu... or it could be food poisoning!

Hope you all are doing well!

Milani Cosmetics - Retro Glam Nail Lacquers - Review & Swatches - Limited Edition

Press Sample

This month Milani Cosmetics is releasing a Limited Edition Nail Laquer Collection called Retro Glam. The collection consist of 5 solid color polishes as well as a topcoat sprinkle effect polish that you can use alone or on top of the solid polishes, each polish is sold separately.

Anyway onto the photos!

L to R: 871 Strawberry Shake, 872 Raspberry Delight, 873 Creamy Pistachio, 874 Mint Chip, 875 Almond Bliss (Followed by Sprinkles on top of each)

My Rating:  10 out of 10 feathers

Cost:  $4.49 for Base Solid Colors and $4.99 for Sprinkles Topcoat

Availability:  CVS, Meijer's, and www.milanicosmetics.com (Limited Edition)

Formula:  These polishes are free of DBP, Toluene, and Formaldehyde. All the Base polishes are very pigmented and I had no trouble getting a solid layer with the first coat if done right. I absolutely love the formula for the Sprinkles topcoat as it leaves an amazing design and was easy to work with!

The Packaging:  Standard polish packaging.

My Final Thoughts:  I love EVERYTHING about this collection, I love the colors they picked to release for the bases but the real gem of this collection is the Sprinkles topcoat! In my opinion it's a MUST HAVE, and if you love the look of it I'd suggest buying some backup(s) before it's sold out!

Would I purchase these?  I'd definitely purchase this whole collection again (I'm actually considering buying a few backups of the Sprinkles Topcoat as I love, love, love the design it leaves!).

Milani Cosmetics - Fantastical Plumage Nail Lacquers - Review & Swatches - Limited Edition

Press Sample
This month Milani Cosmetics is releasing a Limited Edition Nail Laquer Collection called Fantastical Plumage. The collection consist of 5 solid color polishes as well as a topcoat sprinkle effect polish that you can use alone or ontop of the solid polishes, each polish is sold separately.

Anyway onto the photos!

L to R: 866 Scarlet Ibis, 867 Canary, 868 Peacock, 869 Blue Jay, 870 Purple Martin (Followed by Carnival on top of each)

My Rating:  8 out of 10 feathers

Cost:  $4.49 for Base Solid Colors and $4.99 for Carnival Topcoat

Availability:  CVS, Meijer's, and www.milanicosmetics.com (Limited Edition)

Formula:  These polishes are free of DBP, Toluene, and Formaldehyde. All the Base polishes are very pigmented and I had no trouble getting a solid layer with the first coat if done right. Carnival was a little bit more difficult to work with as I would get more black sprinkles and no white so I had to actually try and get single white specks out separately (this is what dropped the rating).

The Packaging:  Standard polish packaging.

My Final Thoughts:  I really love the color ranges in this collection, all of them are really pretty shades and I will definitely wear them again. The down fall of this collection was Carnival as it was difficult to get any of the white specks out (you may be able to place some of the topcoat on something then  use a nail stick and place them separately on the nail).

Would I purchase these?  I'd definitely purchase the solid polishes as for the Carnival color it's nice if you can get a good coat but is again a little difficult to work with. Despite the one downfall I will still say these are crow approved simply for the pigmentation.
