Lime Crime - Fairytale Hand Mirror - Limited Edition

Affiliate Links
Not too long ago Lime Crime released a limited edition Fairytale Hand Mirror on their site, originally this retailed for $29.99 but recently it went on sale for $14.99. I actually wasn't sure if I was going to get it because I didn't know if I wanted to spend $29.99 at the time, although it was really pretty and cute looking I decided to wait a bit. Then when it went on sale I of course decided I'd get it, I actually grabbed two of the mirrors (one for myself and one to add to a future giveaway).

Anyway onto the photos!

Cute packaging!

Came with this cute paper doll as well!

My Thoughts

The mirror is definitely a cute decoration item, it is a little smaller than a normal hand mirror but it would be good for up close eye details. The mirror is actually very clear and not distorted so it's definitely usable. For $14.99 it's well worth picking up to have on your vanity table as a cute decoration. It's not perfect as far as the detailing, as you can see in the pictures there were some flaws in mine (pearl was a little scratched, red parts of the mirror were a little clumsy on the pouring and went over the wording, ect) but even with the small flaws I still love it. It doesn't feel light and cheap, it's actually got weight to it as well.

So all in all if you want something pretty for decoration and to use for close up eye details this is worth checking out.

I'll have some more Lime Crime reviews coming up as well as I purchased a couple Lipsticks and an Eyeshadow palette not to long ago.

Did you pick up one of these? What's your thoughts on it?

Sometimes you just have to get it...

I always have these Limited Edition makeup items that I just mull over forever... sometimes so long that they end up dangling on the edge of selling out before I buy them. I'm the type who is makeup obsessed and always wants so many things at one time, probably mainly because companies make things Limited Edition and so darn cute and/or awesome that you just have to get it.

The most recent hauls have been caused by this want of the Limited edition awesome cuteness!

Urban Decay Vice Palette

So the Urban Decay Vice Palette was so on the verge of sold out that only Sephora online had it, and Ebay had them for nice big mark up of course. This one I mulled over since it first released back in mid September, then recently I saw a look by Xsparkage and Phyrra done using this palette and that sealed the deal for me.

I ended up purchasing it on Sephora.com, I had almost ended not getting it but went back on the site later that day and got it. Needless to say I am extremely glad I did because a day or two later I went back on Sephora.com and they were out of stock never to return! Anyway I will have swatches of this one and a review since you can still technically get this on Ebay.

Lime Crime Fairytale Hand Mirror

This one I mulled over a little while as well, it cost $29.99 on the Lime Crime site and I wasn't sure I wanted to spent that much on it. So I waited... and waited... and waited, then I saw that it was being sold at IMATS for $15 and I was kicking myself for not asking someone to get me one.

Then a couple days ago I went to the site and found it on sale for $14.99 and I ended up picking one because of course it was a way better price and it's just so darn cute. Anyway I will have more pictures of this one later as well as my thoughts on it.

Right now they still have left for $14.99 on the Lime Crime site.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful week, also remember to enter my giveaway for a $100 Gift Card here!

Do you any of these? What's your thoughts?

New Winner of the March Giveaway!!!

I recently had to choose a new winner for the March Givaway due to the previous winner never responded. I had a heck of a time choosing the new winner as many people had unfollowed me through they social media ways that they had entered which made their entries invalid. So just as a reminder that I DO validate all entries and I will not choose a winner that us unfollowed as that is not anything that is polite just to join for a giveaway and then leave.

I will have more Giveaways coming up soon (mostly e-gift card giveaways to winners choice out of several of my favorite places) so keep an eye out!

Anyway onto the winner!

Congratulations to my March Givaway Winner Bebe L. !

Note: if you didn't win this giveaway don't be discouraged! Stay tuned for even more giveaways every month and check the side bar of my blog for current giveaways going on. :)

Glamour Doll Eyes - OTM - January 2013

Affiliate Links
Glamour Doll Eyes has a monthly subscription program called "Of the Month" or "OTM", last year I was lucky enough to have purchased 6 months each time they were offered so I ended up getting the full year of OTM's. I was really happy with each month and it was something exciting to find a new package every month with a unique color and sometimes even little surprises.

So as you can imagine I was ecstatic when the owner of Glamour Doll Eyes Vee said she was keeping the OTM program for another year. I've decided I'm going to post each month and show what was offered to give people an idea of what they would be getting if they decided to purchase a month/subscription. Currently the Subscriptions are all sold out, but there will be 1 Month offered each month they come out, and then later on there will be 3, and 6 month opening up as peoples subscriptions run out.

What the site says:

"After a successful year of OTM, we have decided to do another year! Glamour Doll Eyes will be releasing a new color each month that we will call "Of The Month's". This shadow will be limited to just that month and will be sold for only that month. There are many options for the OTM; 1 month, 2 month, 3 month, 6 month and maybe even 12 months. There will only be 100 of each color each month so picking up a subscription will guarantee that you will get the color the following months.

Of the month spots will open up on the 8th of every month. If the 8th lands on a Saturday or Sunday, they will open up on that Friday. There will only be 100 OTMs open at a time so only a handful will be released each month. OTMs will be shipped on the 10th of every month. If the 10th lands on a Saturday or Sunday, it will ship the following Monday. If you're International and you have an ongoing subscription, they will ship the 1st, if you purchase on the 8th, it will ship the 10th for that month and the 1st for every other month of your subscription.
"

For a 6 Month subscription I paid $36.00 total (this included the cost of shipping in the price).

Anyway onto the photos!

Swatched over UDPP and Pixie Epoxy.

A dark green with light green and almost brown duochrome.

I believe the subscriptions usually will be out on the 8th of each month depending on if it's a weekend or not, so keep your eyes open and/or sign up at www.glamourdolleyes.com for e-mail notifications (listed under OTM).

Did you purchase an OTM? What do you think of the program?

Fyrinnae - Halloween 2011 Swatches - Part 1

I'm really late on posting these swatches, luckily this is a permanent collection and the shadows are available for purchase on the site still. I'll be doing these in 3 separate parts as the sunlight has been sporadic as of late and not cooperating with me the last couple of days.

Anyway onto the photos!

Amazing color shift when closer to light source for Arcane Magic shadows

Pink shimmer and sparkle on black, turns golden green when closer to light.

Green with a hint of turquoise, turns deep pink almost magenta when closer to light.

Vivid blue with slight turquoise highlight sparkles green and light blue, shifts to aqua and pink when closer to light.

As a side note the swatches do not do these justice, especially Bride of Frankenstein which is so much more sparkly in person!

Anyway I will have swatches up later on for the rest of the set, I'd definitely recommend all three of these shadows as the pigmentation and quality is amazing as always with Fyrinnae shadows.

Do you own any of these? What's your favorites(s)?
