Another Suprise - Husband is a Sneak!

So yesterday while I was at work, my husband calls and tells me he is bringing lunch in and ask me what I would like. So he shows up like an hour later and drops the bags on my desk and heads off to work (he works close to where I do so often grabs me lunch). About 5 minutes later I finally get the chance to open the bags up and grab my friends lunch out to give it to him and proceed to take mine to go eat it in the break room. Anyway so I open up the biggest bag (this one normal contains the salads and miso soup, sauces ect), instead I see this box that says "Nikon D5100"!

So I'm standing up gasping with my hand over my mouth and turning red because OMG this is the camera I've been wanting to get but wasn't able to afford and was told by the husband we'd have to wait to "possibly if even" get by my birthday in August if I was lucky lol.

Needless to say he is the sneakest and sweetest husband, and I still can't believe he did this. <3

Anyway I ended up testing it out by putting on some Fyrinnae Callipygian eyeshadow (no foundation or anything and lighting isn't natural).

The color is amazing compared to my old camera, and of course the detailing and sparkle comes out sooooo clear. I can't wait to take product photos and do my looks now! I still have a lot to learn about it since it has a lot more options compared to my old Cannon Powershot S750, but so far I'm loving it!

Glamour Doll Eyes OTM - June - Celestial Crow - FOTD

So Glamour Doll Eyes has this great monthly subscription called "Of the Month", I actually purchased the OTM right when it started back in Janurary, 2012.  I didn't post about it before because of my busy schedule and the fact I wanted to try it out first. This months OTM is actually my 6th and last month of the subscription so I've been able to test it out to the fullest!

About the OTM Subscription from the site:

"Glamour Doll Eyes will be releasing a new color each month that we will call "Of The Month's". These products will be limited to just that month and will be sold for only that month. The item of the month may be an eye shadow, an eye light or maybe even a lip product. Whatever it may be, you can guarantee that it will be awesome!! You can choose just to get the item that month when it is listed, or opt to get a 3 month or 6 month subscription. Each month, the items will be released on the 15th. If you order a subscription, they will be mailed off sooner, so you will get first look at the new item. There will only be 100 of each color each month so picking up a subscription will guarantee that you will get the color the following months. Once all subscriptions are shipped for that month, the color will then be sold as an individual for whatever is left."

I will have a full review and pictures of the full 6 months shortly as well!

This month however I got the chance to actually help in the creation of the OTM by actually throwing my idea out to Vee (the owner of Glamour Doll Eyes) on a color as well as name I'd like made. I had a couple ideas on what I might like to see created but ultimately I'm all about blues and crows.

When thinking about the color I wanted something to do with a crow, I thought about the color of a crows feather and how it has a shift of green to the black as well. I felt so lucky to be involved in this months OTM and I'm so thank you to Vee for giving me the chance to inspire this shadow!

Anyway onto the photos!

This picture does not do the shadow justice!

Normally with the OTM's if you didn't sign up for the subscription (there are 100 available) any extra would be for sale on the website on the 15th of each month. For the month of June however I was notified the shadow was sold out before that date. So in turn this shadow will not be for sale on the website this month, fear not though I will still be having a giveaway for a jar or two of this to my followers (provided to me by the wonderful Vee!).

OTM's are available again to start in July so hurry over and get yours before they are sold out! There are options for either 3 month or 6 month subscriptions. I purchased my next subscription option of 6 months because I love the OTM program!

Milani Cosmetics - 2012 Shadow Eyez - Review

Milani has released some new things this year, one of which is the new Shadow Eyez eyeshadow pencils. The packaging is much like that of the Urban Decay Glide-On Shadow Pencils or the Nyx Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencils, the formula leans more towards the Urban Decay ones though as the Nyx ones crease easier.

Anyway onto the photos!

Winter White, Brown Deluxe, Champagne Toast

Green Safari, Aquatic Style, Royal Purple

What the site says

SHADOW EYEZ 12 HR PENCIL

Big and blendable 2-in-1 color rich pencil  that can be used as shadow or liner. Creamy smooth, long-lasting, water-resistant, crease-proof and paraben-free formula. The next generation of shadows that you sharpen.
Directions:
Apply the pencil directly to the eyelid, then blend it out with your finger or a brush. After use, always replace the cap so the tip does not dry out. Easily sharpens with Milani's Duo Sharpener.

Tip: To extend the wear, apply your foundation or pressed powder on entire eyelid before applying your eye shadow. This eliminates any oils your lids may have which can cause your eyeshadow to crease.

Ingredients:

Isododecane, Cyclopentasiloxane, Peg/Ppg-19/19 Dimethicone, Synthetic Wax, Hydrogenated Polydicyclopentadiene, Nylon-12, C20-40 Alcohols, Perfluorononyl Dimethicone, Polyglyceryl-4 Diisostearate/Polyhydroxystearate/Sebacate, Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Polyethylene, Pentaerythrityl Tetra-D-T-Butyl Hydroxyhydrocinnamate, Silica, Isoceteth-10, Tocopherol. +/- May Contain: Mica (CI 77019), Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Manganese Violet (CI 77742), Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499), Yellow 5 Lake (CI 19140), Blue 1 Lake (CI 42090), Ferric Ferrocyanide (CI 77510), Carmine (CI 75470), Ultramarines (CI 77007).

Price: $6.99 for 0.1 ounces / 2.8 grams

Pros: These pencils are amazing because they are creamy gliding on, the pigmentation is fantastic, they don't crease, and to top it all off they last forever. The price is amazing considering they are only $6.99 where as the UD ones are $20 EACH. These are also definitely waterproof, even after washing my arm off the color was still strong and wouldn't budge.

Cons:  I found absolutely no cons to these.

Milani Shadow Eyez

Formula:  Creamy smooth, long lasting, water-resistant, crease-proof
Coverage:  Extremely pigmented.
Wear: Long wearing 12 hours+.
Shade Info: Available in 6 shades.
Cost: $6.99
Availability: CVS and Milani Cosmetics website.
Packaging: Large Pencil with pull off cap.
My Rating: 10/10

Adore Me - 2nd Review - New Website Updates

So a little while back I got the chance to check out another Adore Me item, they had revamped there website and updated quite a few things. One of the new things I noticed was the addition of swimwear!

The new site is easy to navigate and included in my showroom categories sections like Bras & Briefs, Swimwear, Corsets, Babydolls & Slips, and a cute category called Your Little Sexy Secrets.

The one I ended up choosing was a cute little set that screamed me, although there were quite a few outfits that I wanted this one had the colors that just caught my eye.

Adore Me

Price: The price is really reasonable considering everything is $39.95 and they have a good selection of things to choose from.

Shipping: I placed my order on 4/20/12 and received my order in the mail on 4/23/12. It came in a cute box with Adore stamped in hot pink on the top, inside it was wrapped in pink and hot pink tissues paper.

Quality: I got an outfit that had the right fit for me and the quality is very good, I really love the detailing on this one.

Website: The website is very easy to navigate and I had no trouble looking through everything or finishing my order through the checkout.

Pros:  Personal showroom chosen for me each month, being able to order my intimates online instead of treading off to a store. Price is very reasonable and quality is great, website is easy to navigate as well. Good selection on the site of different styles and things, from swimwear, to sexy lingerie +more.

Con: The only con again is the fact you have to call to cancel your membership, with my busy schedule it'd be so much nicer to have a cancel option on the website itself.

My Rating: 10/10
